Eating fish every Friday was once a demand- in the fifties, it became
'optional'!!!!
Not correct. I was in high school in a captive state (Maryland) in the
60s, and eating meat on Friday was STILL a mortal sin.
EATING FISH WAS NEVER A COMMAND. WE WERE NEVER COMMANDED TO EAT ANYTHING.
We were commanded to abstain from meat. Didn't mean we had to eat fish.
BAM
Another lie, Bryan.
The cult WAS demanded to 'eat FISH every Friday'. ...

I have no idea what went on in Maryland - HERE in Canada, it became
optional in the mid-fifties.
Find me any Catholic document that ever said we had to eat fish on Fridays -
as you so ignorantly stated.
BAM
No problem. In fact, I remember the nickname romanists often got -
"Mackerel-Snappers".
• As do I and it was all because there was once a pope whose family was
in the commercial fishing business in the Mediterranean.

Sorry, doc. But your ignorance continues to follow you around. We were
commanded to avoid meat products on Friday so as to journey in the steps of
Christ in a small fashion in his 40 days of fast in the desert.

Do you protest_ants care to do anything to follow Christ except to read about
him but ignore his words at the same time.
